2 Timothy 3:16-17 What better way to know God than through His Word?Our Bible study classes offer a variety of opportunities to study His Word and experience the life of Christ through the Scriptures. Through study we gain a closer relationship with the Lord, we learn about the abundant life that He plans for us, and we are able to live our lives more fully as we work together to serve Him. Adult Sunday School Bible ClassesSunday School is very important in producing disciples in the body of Christ. It allows people to develop and become mature believers in our Lord Jesus Christ in an intimate small group environment. Bible classes also help people to experience the life of Christ and equip them to give an account for their faith. In Sunday School classes there is personal growth in God’s Word and a real bonding in Christian love. Join us at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sundays. Home Bible StudiesHome Bible study groups are an excellent way to study God’s Word while getting to know others in the church family at YLCC. Small group relationships lead to lasting bonds and a closer walk with God. The bible study groups, lead by a facilitator, usually consist of 8 to 10 people and are held in a home of one of the member’s. Sometimes they rotate to different homes. The group picks the subject they want to study, as well as the time and the place to meet. Prayer and study time is limited to one hour and this is followed up by a flexible time of fellowship. Tuesday Night Bible StudyWe seek to build equipped disciples! The Tuesday Night Bible Study is an expositional or “verse by verse, one book at a time” study of the Bible. The purpose of this study is to help each of us to learn God’s word, to grow in our faith, to understand the doctrines of Christianity and to apply the principles we’ve studied to our lives in a practical way. We often cross reference other related passages of the bible. The history, culture, languages and background are also discussed to give a full understanding of the text. The Bible Study meets each Tuesday in the Chapel at 7:00 PM. We open with prayer and praises for answered prayer. Man to Man Bible FellowshipThis small group meets to study God’s Word and share with others how the Lord has helped us and influenced our lives. We share our feelings, questions and hurts with each other; we find many of us have had similar situations. There is strength and bonding when we help and support one another. When we learn to share and gain confidence, we can truly experience the beauty of the God’s Word and learn what He has in store for us. Join us each Thursday morning at 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the church Library. Grow to become the husbands, fathers, grandfathers, and friends that the Lord wants you to be! Women’s Bible StudyWomen’s Bible Study provides a place where women can feel loved and accepted while learning about God. In a small group setting, we learn to read the Bible in a new and more meaningful way. The small group leader facilitates studying God’s Word, often using study guides that allow for group interaction as well as introspective meditation. We develop relationships, share our praises and take our prayer requests before the Lord. We meet every Thursday at 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Worship Center classroom. Childcare is available when requested. Let’s take our walk of faith to new levels and then encourage others to do the same. Alpha MinistriesThe Alpha ministry is a dynamic but practical introduction to the Christian faith. As a church based evangelistic ministry, the 12-week course is unique in that the weekly study includes dinner and fellowship time. Designed as an outreach for all communities, ALPHA is presently being held in over 15,000 areas throughout all parts of the world. Alpha is also great for believers who just want a refresher class to strengthen their fellowship with the Lord. Midway through the session a mini retreat is held to open the door for more in-depth questioning in a relaxed atmosphere. |
