Discover the Ministries at YLCC

“Everything got started in Him and finds it’s purpose in Him.” Colossians 1:16

It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance and our destiny. The Bible reveals 5 purposes for our lives:
  • Worship -- We were planned for God’s pleasure. (Mark12:30)
  • Fellowship -- We were formed for God’s family. (Romans 12:5)
  • Discipleship -- We were created to become like Christ. (Phil. 2:5)
  • Ministry -- We were shaped for serving God. (1 Peter 4:10)
  • Evangelism -- We were made for a mission. (Col. 4:5)

The ministries at YLCC are opportunities to experience all that God has for us, His children. Be blessed as you discover what we have to offer!

Worship – Worship Team Band, Adult Choir, Audio Visual and CD/DVD, Worship Arts

Women's – Women’s Bible Study, AWOL, MOPS, Crafters, Annual Retreat, Hands In Service, and much more

Men – Man to Man Bible Fellowship, Men of Integrity Fellowship Breakfast, Men’s Wilderness Ministry

Power of Prayer – Altar Prayer Team, Prayer Chain, Pray for Pastors, National Day of Prayer

Empty Nesters – Formed to allow singles and couples whose children are no longer living at home to meet together for ministry, fellowship, and a growing relationship with the Lord

Stephen Ministry – The Stephen Ministry is named for the martyr Stephen, one of the first lay persons commissioned by the apostles to perform acts of caring for those experiencing challenges in their lives. Trained Stephen Ministers respond to needs due to hospitalization, grief over loss, loneliness, divorce, birth of a child and many other life events that create a need for this caring ministry. Stephen Ministers maintain confidentiality and respond to the specific needs of the individual.

Suppers 8 – We provide the opportunity for Christian fellowship and to make new friends. Our ministry consists of eight adults (couples or singles) who meet for dinner once a month for a period of four months. Each couple or person will has the opportunity to host the group once during the four month period. If there is a person or couple who is unable to host a Suppers Eight, the group may opt to go out to dinner or a Sunday brunch. Since the purpose of this time is for adult fellowship, it is recommended that parents find a babysitter for the evening.

Pastor’s Hospitality Luncheon – We provide a free luncheon for newcomers to the church. It offers a wonderful way to get acquainted with the YLCC Pastors and their spouses. The lunch is scheduled by invitation only. To be invited you simply fill out the card in your visitor package or call the church office and let them know you would like to be invited. Someone will call and schedule you for the lunch.

Angel Tree – This ministry connects parents in prison with their children through Christmas gifts. The parent in prison submits an application for his or her child/children to receive a gift. A Christmas tree is set up in the Church foyer and each request is put on “Paper Angel” tags hung on the tree. We matched the donated gifts with the appropriate gift requests and as needs are met, we remove the paper angels from the Angel Tree. We then deliver the gifts to the children on behalf of the parent.
