Opportunities for Kids to Serve
Helping Hands Puppet Ministry
Puppetry is a way to reinforce the acceptance of Bible stories through the eyes of little children. The Helping Hands
Puppet ministry performs, creatively with puppets, Bible stories and skits that will help to make a difference in the
lives of our children.
Volunteers for the ministry perform on Sunday mornings at the 9:00 AM and the 11:00 AM Praise and Worship hour. They also
help with the Bible story for that week.
In addition to KIC Sunday School, “puppet masters” perform for Vacation Bible School, Children’s Crusades, and various outreach
and social functions in the church.
Kids from the 4th grade and up with a teachable and willing heart are invited to join the six training demonstrations in the
use of puppetry.
Nursery Ministry
The Nursery Ministry provides teens the opportunity to discover their spiritual purpose, experience service in a
ministry and build a strong foundation for infants and young children.
Through the ministry, infants and children through age 4 receive loving care and a positive nursery experience in a secure,
safe and fun environment.
Teens 12 years and older serve on a nursery ministry team with an experienced adult leader one Sunday per month. They must
attend a training class covering safety, child development, basic first aid, and nursery policy. Trained teen nursery
ministers have the opportunity to work at church functions that pay for child
care services.
KIC Worship Team
Worshipping to the glory of God through song is a joy for all ages!
The KIC Worship Team encourages children to use their talents and motivates them toward God-honoring musical
activities. Musical projects and a goal of performance strengthen self-esteem and give them a sense of accomplishment. The
ministry, consisting of kids K-6th grade, provides kids with lyrics and rehearsal tapes for practice at home.
The annual Christmas Program and YLCC adult worship services offer an opportunity for the
KIC Worship Team to share
their talents. Join in and share the joy!
